51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha report: Chisholm out after High Point 2018

June 18, 2018 – Livingston, CA – 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha rider Kyle Chisholm was sidelined for the High Point National after a crash in practice on race day left him with a tweaked knee.  Kyle was unable to race in either Moto and will be evaluated further this week by his doctors.

Kyle crashed in one of the many rutted corners and his boot caught in one of the ruts and caused his knee and leg to twist. Kyle rode through other crashes/injuries never missing a 250SX or 450SX he entered but this crash left him unable to ride.  Kyle flew home to Florida and expects to have an MRI and updates soon.  While Kyle will certainly miss the following round in Tennessee, attending upcoming races will be known and announced once the team and Kyle learn more information later this week.

It’s definitely a bummer way for the weekend to go,” Chisholm said after the race. I recovered well over the break and felt great coming into the day, but I just caught my toes on the outer edge of the rut and that was all she wrote. I wanted to get out there and represent sponsors but also am trying to have a big picture attitude this season. Thanks to everyone for the support.”

The Galfer USA team wants to wish Kyle Chisholm a speedy recovery, we know that racing is never easy, and we hope to see him back on the race track soon.
