It was a top five night for Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC -KTM-WPS as round 7 of the 2019 AMA Supercross season headed to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX this past Saturday night.
Blake Baggett ready to do battle launched out of the gate in his heat race and rounded the first lap in 4th place.
Blake looked strong on the Arlington track and found his battle for third place with Cooper Webb early on. After sliding back a few spots mid-race, he fought back to 4th at the checkered flag to transfer straight to the main event. Blake sneaked around the inside of turn one in the main event to start the race in 5thplace. He would ride a solid pace, moving into the top three briefly before securing 4thplace. Holding off the charge from the competition, he took the checkered flag in 4thplace.
“I feel good about my ride tonight,” said Baggett. “The track suited my style and I focused on riding a consistent race, hitting my marks every lap. I felt like I had a chance at a top three tonight, so I’m looking forward to next weekend in Detroit and getting back on the podium.”
Justin Bogle timed the gate perfectly and rounded the first turn just outside to top five.
Riding with confidence, he showed speed throughout the heat as he crossed the finish in 6th place, taking a spot in the main event. Justin’s main event started strong, as he rounded the first lap outside the top ten. His race took a turn for the worse, unfortunately, with a crash sending Justin to the ground. He remounted, and finished the night in 20th place.
“Not the night I expected,” said Bogle. “I had a good ride in my heat, just didn’t get the start I needed in the main. It’s unfortunate I went down as I feel I had the speed to battle into the top ten. We’ll make a few adjustments and be ready at Detroit next weekend.”
